Hello there,

There are things happening with the Moscow Community Investment Co-op (MCIC)! This isn’t an idea on a whiteboard anymore—MCIC is moving forward, and the window to get involved early is open now.

MCIC is a locally-owned real estate cooperative designed to preserve the unique, welcoming, and inclusive character of downtown Moscow. It’s a first-of-its-kind initiative for our region—and one of only a handful like it nationwide. It puts ownership and decision-making into the hands of everyday people, not outside investors or developers.

Here’s what we’ve accomplished so far:

• Developed Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws to legally establish the co-op
• Built a comprehensive business plan with financial strategy and market data
• Created the outreach tools and pledge form to bring this vision to life
• Hosted community info sessions and launched a pledge campaign—with over 300 Muscovites already saying “I’m in”

The next phase is launching—and we want you with us.
On May 9, we officially seated our Board of Directors, a group of six local leaders with experience in real estate, finance, public service, and community development. They’re already at work setting the stage to legally accept member investments and begin making real change downtown.

We’ll keep you updated with next steps, but don’t wait too long—this is a chance to be part of something bold and lasting.
